"Megan was instrumental in developing ideas, designing our invitations, and planning for everything. We could entirely trust her to run the show - we just sat back and enjoyed the ride without worrying about a thing! We whole-heartedly recommend choosing Megan Schultz."

You have questions. I have answers.
You are smart and savvy and probably totally capable of planning your own wedding. But you also have a full time job, your family, your friends and your life. Planning a wedding on top of all that means some big sacrifices. You'll sleep less, socialize less, stress more and any free time you had before is out the window. Planning weddings is my job; I have time to do all the things you don't have time for! Let me help you keep your life by taking some or all of that load off your shoulders.
That's easy: No. Not only can I get you discounts from many of my preferred vendors, but my experience will help me figure out how I can save you money before you spend it. Weddings go over budget when couples get stressed, overwhelmed and distracted by all the details. Just like you could also fairly easily change the oil in your own car, it's just a better use of your time and money to take it to a professional who knows exactly what they're doing and will do it right the first time. I will save you both time and money by custom tailoring my services to best match your budget. In fact, most of my couples' weddings end up under budget. Think of what you could do with little left over money!
My rates very competitive and customizable, but only available by request. Don't worry - I won't charge you an arm and a leg! Simply contact me and I will send you price sheet and/or a customized estimate for your needs.
I don't work for the Department of Redundancy Department. I work for you. If you choose a location that has their own planner, I won't butt heads! However, they will typically specialize in helping you on your wedding day as they see it for whomever they work for. I, again, work for you. I can still be your point person. I can still review contracts and coordinate with vendors. I can still help you design your invitations, your centerpieces or your whole wedding! I can help write your vows, your toasts and anything else you want for your perfect day. Whatever it takes, I will set you up so I can hand you off to the location's planner and all will run as smooth as the butter cream frosting on your cake!
I prefer to do one or the other. However, depending on the size and scope of your wedding, I can arrange to do some photography for you as well as run the show. Ask me and I'd be happy to discuss it with you. Check out my photostream on Flickr.
I am a journalist by training, but my passions are in the arts and on the snow. I do a lot of photographic art I call "fauxtography" and design work including custom invitations, business cards, calendars, even a little jewelry making. Check out my galleries! When I'm not in my studio creating something for you, I'm on the slopes, skiing through the trees in search of powder, or throwing the Frisbee for my crazy little dog.
I'm a party girl! I love parties and have thrown several annual parties of my own for years. I also grew up in a Bed and Breakfast which taught me from an early age how to be a hostess. One day, as I sat at my "real job" as a manager, I realized that I really didn't love what I was doing, even though I was very good at it. This bugged me; I wanted to love my job! Pretty soon, I figured out that I was not only very good a planning parties, but that I loved it. So here I am, applying years and years of management experience, strong creative muscles and a desire to throw a killer party to a job that I actually love!
Absolutely! I love my job, but I really love to travel! Get in touch with me for details.
See my contacts and links pages! Email or Facebook are probably the quickest ways since my studio hours vary a lot, but which ever method suits you best will work for me too! If you're looking for up to date information on my current projects, check out meg's events blog. I look forward to hearing from you!
If I missed something, have no fear! Contact me with your questions, (through tradional means, since ESP is not actually one of my talents,) and I will happily get you the answers!
